Ivania Yep
Ivania Yep
Supervisor

Hello, my name is Ivania Yep.

I am the Senior Supervisor at Sunset Daycare since January 28th, 2008. I have a long and extended history with Sunset. Both my children came to this fabulous daycare, and it was here where I became inspired by the ECE staff's professionalism and passion to get into the Early Childhood Field. I find this field to be very rewarding and gratifying. I enjoy spending time with my family, singing teaching, reading, exercising (hot yoga in particular,) and going for long hikes. What I like best of all, is knowing in my heart that I have made a positive impact in someone's life, especially in the life of a child. I love my profession and I feel very fortunate to wake up every single morning and be able to do what I love best.

I enjoy playing softball, watching movies, hanging out with friends and traveling (Canada, USA, Australia and much of Western Europe).

Louise Masing
ECE Teacher

Hi! My name is Louise Masing.

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta when I was 5 years old. We then travelled to Vancouver a year later and have lived here ever since. I have travelled back to visit my family in South Africa many times. I graduated from Kwantlen College's Early Childhood Program in 1991. I was hired at Sunset Daycare in 1992 and have enjoyed working with these great people that make this program so wonderful. After all these years, I am even more passionate about working with young children & find it both challenging and satisfying. In my spare time I really enjoy playing (and watching) baseball and traveling around world. I have seen parts of Europe, Costa Rica, Eastern Canada, Great Britain and Southern Africa.

I am very passionate about children and enjoy making difference in their lives. I strongly believe that all children deserve respect and the best quality care possible.

Jasraj Munne
ECE Teacher

Hi, my name is Jasraj Munne.

My birthday is November 24th, 1983. I have two older sisters and a younger brother. I recently lost my dad to diabetes, and he is greatly missed. I get my strength and encouragement from my loving mom. My interests are reading, going on walks, spending time with my family and much more. I have been working at Sunset Daycare since 2006 and have enjoyed it very much. I have completed my ECE at Langara College in August 2004 and recently my Post Basic Diploma. The reason I have chosen this career path is because I have a great time interacting with children. If you see me, please, come up and say "hi" and feel free to ask any questions you may have. I am looking forward to working and meeting you.

Elisa Herman
ECE Teacher

Hi, my name is Elisa Herman.

I was born in Indonesia and moved to Canada when I was 10 years old.

As a child I had dreams of becoming a singer or an actress or just someone famous, but my highest ambition was to be a teacher. So this ambition and my passion of working with children made me choose the childcare field as a profession. I studied and graduated from the Early Childhood Education diploma program from Langara College in 2009.

In my free time I enjoy oil painting, photography and watching movies.

Barbara Hone

Hello, my name is Barbara Hone.

I have worked at Sunset Daycare for 10 years. As a graduate of a Culinary Arts Program I have enjoyed a rich career for over 25 years in both restaurant and institutional settings.

I enjoy the calm and peaceful joy of the outdoors with my husband and dog. We have driven and camped all over Canada, USA and Mexico. It was difficult to find a picture without glasses! I am an avid kayaker and fishergirl.

In the past I have travelled to the Middle East, Mediterranean and Europe. One day I will visit Asia.
